Is it too early to start thinking about Christmas 2016? Not if you are a shop owner!
Lots of our new embroidered Christmas candy will be making its debut at the International Gift & Home Furnishings Market in Atlanta starting TODAY! Halloween, Harvest, Beach and Everyday, too. Even though we talk about babies all the time around here … we make art for big people, too. Sometimes we use paint, sometimes a mouse, but this time, it’s all about the thread.
Here are a few photos illustrating the creation of our newest collections for Primitives by Kathy. We really used the same method as we have for our other work, but instead of pen and paint, we designed with needle and floss.
We stitched morning, noon and night. And, yes, sometimes it was easier to feel the holiday spirit if one was wearing one’s Santa jammies.
And when all was said and stitched, we ended up with some gorgeous tea towels and pillows and hoop ornaments and more. If you are a shop owner (and we love you if you are! ) be sure to look for our stitched extravaganza at the Atlanta, Dallas and New York shows. And if you are a gift-giver, be sure to keep an eye out for our new collection, which I can honestly say was truly stitched with love.
If you can’t bring yourself to think about the holidays just yet, there are also lots of beachy fun pillows and tea towels, and an everyday grouping in a versatile indigo and ochre color story.
This last photo is a little shout out to all those great moms out there. Hi Moms! And happy new year!
